 IELTS
It is a joint venture of University of Cambridge ESOL Examination, British Council and IDP IELTS Australia.
It is an assessment of language ability of candidates who need to study or train in the medium of English.
It is an entrance requirement by most universities in the U.K., Australia , Newzealand , Canada and the U.S.A.
ELTS is not recommended for candidates under the age of 16.
  Training Modules
It is selected depending upon the requirements of sponsor or receiving institution.
  Academic Training
To study or train in medium of English at an undergraduate or post graduate level.
  General Training
To go to English speaking countries to complete their secondary education, to undertake work experience or Training programmes not at degree level or for Immigration purpose.

Listening [4 Sections, 40 Items, 30 minutes]
Reading [3 Sections, 40 Items, 60 minutes]
Writing [2 Tasks , 150 & 250 words, 60 minutes]
Speaking [11-14 minutes]
General Training

Results
Band scores range from Band 1 to Band 9
Band 9 - Expert User
Band 8 - Very Good User
Band 7 - Good User
Band 6 - Competent User
Band 5 - Modest User
Band 4 - Limited User
Band 3 - Extremely Limited User
Band 2 - Intermittent User
Band 1 - Non-User
Result is declared approximately 13 days after the test date IELTS
Score is valid upto 2 years
